KFA secretary-cum-treasurer Aminuddin Omar and Cardiff City director Datuk Lye Ek Seang signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU). It was witnessed by Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir and Cardiff City owner Tan Sri Vincent Tan.
The signing would also see a joint collaboration between the two teams to further improve the state’s football training programmes for youngsters.
Mukhriz said that for a start, the collaboration would involve the administration of the association and training of selected players.
“The agreement opens the door for KFA to get assistance to improve the skills of the players with the latest training methods used by Cardiff City. We will sit down as soon as possible to draw up the priorities for the immediate future as our collaboration is for the long-term development of the game in the state,” he said after the signing ceremony on Wednesday night.
